Makeup artistry was part and parcel of Michelle’s first career as a fashion model and actress, taking part in short courses and spending time assisting one of the top makeup artists/photographers in Australia at the time.
Modelling is usually a pursuit for the young and not wanting to leave the industry entirely she set up her own fashion label, co-managing a retail outlet with other local designers and artisans. During this time she used her modelling knowledge to style and design fashion shows, runway events and photoshoots directing the models and photographers.
Always an artist, Michelle continues to study drawing and painting as a hobby. Her past artistic pursuits include printmaking and jewlery making and has exhibited her works.
All through these years she still felt restless and realised that makeup artistry was her real passion. Obtaining her Diploma in Entertainment Make Up and Certificate III in Hairdressing to launch her new life, Michelle has worked in various different sectors of the industry for many years heading up teams for various clients as well as being part of a team of artists - either time creating a beautiful flawless look.
Her work includes, but not confined to, several seasons of theatre with Melbourne Opera Company, The Production Company and Speigelworld. Advertising campaigns through Wellcom and Huge studios.
